Bel Ami has taken a bit of a leap with the GayVN award-winning boyfest “Mating Season.” Some of the studio’s bigger stars, such as Johan Paulik, Lukas Ridgeston and Dano Sulik have been carted off to the porn-star rest home, and a new generation of post-adolescents has taken their place. Individually, these guys generally don’t have the same star power. But as a group, they seem to be bringing new life and new loads to the Euro adult powerhouse.

The oral foreplay of the first scene goes on far too long, but the guys are fun to watch and the top offers a big dick with even bigger squirt power. Then five boys on bikes invade an abandoned building and splinter off into smaller units (for reasons unknown). The pair is better than the trio, although bottom boy Benjamin Bloom looks ridiculous and even girly in pink plaid culottes with matching pink sneakers and pink baseball cap. Luckily his top, Davy Paxton, is man enough for both of them.

But what will make viewers’ knees buckle is the sprawling third scene. Don’t try to make narrative sense of it. There’s no explanation for why a brigade of muscle boys would have a picnic in the woods, or why Joey Amis would be sitting on a bucket just around the corner reading the newspaper. Nor is there any reason why more than half a dozen of them would decide, one at a time, to go to Joey and shoot their loads in his mouth. This isn’t about logic. It’s about watching an extremely beautiful boy take a relatively tepid video and turn it into absolutely must-see TV.

“Hot Truckin’” is a splendid starring vehicle for the wonder that is Gordon Grant. While his misleading “lifeguard” photo on the box cover actually comes from a different film, the smooth muscular brunette’s upward-curved dick is in—and dominates—almost every scene. Gordon’s sidekick is Larry Le Blanc, a hirsute mustachioed 1970s relic with an extremely appealing demeanor.

This movie is not quite a “road” film of the Joe Gage tradition, although the similarities to “Kansas City Trucking Company” are evident. These truckers spend more time on their backs than on the road, and the truck doesn’t figure into the experience in quite the same way. “Hot Truckin’” also doesn’t have a strong ensemble cast like “Kansas City.” What it has instead is a runaway star in Gordon.

At his first delivery, there’s something stirring inside the crotch of a shop worker’s overalls, and the brazen blue-collar boy is stripped and on his back within seconds. Left to his own devices, Larry proceeds to a public restroom in a nearby park. The two scenes are then crosscut, with a lot of offscreen noise indicating a high risk of discovery in both situations.

Larry laps up every dick he can get his hands on, but he never seems to get hard enough for any drilling. Still “Hot Truckin’” is worth your time, especially for Gordon’s explosive orgasm in the first scene. He does all of the fucking in this movie, drilling the shop worker, a painter and a cheeky random guy on the street eating a popsicle. The shot of the sticky used popsicle creaming into the sidewalk pretty much says it all.
